Ed's been traveling and writing lately, and he put together a cool blog about the Ozarks of Missouri and Arkansas. He covers everything from civil war cannons to crawdads. If anyone knows the Ozarks region, it's Ed. He's set up float trips on just about every floatable stream in Missouri. (Did you know that floatable is not a word, according to spellcheck.) Josh and I went on a float trip a few weeks ago, and we luckily found our way to the river, but it wasn't easy without Ed telling us where to turn. Well anyway, check out Ed's blog, Deep Hollows.

Water Levels
It looks like we'll have no shortage of water. Hopefully, the rain will let off that last week before Memorial Day.

There is a breeze from the south. The air and waters are warming. The fisherman feels it on his flesh and in his brain. The fish feel it in their gills and in their stomaches. In three weeks its going to be On like Smallie Kong.

I Heart the Jack's Fork
The Jack's Fork is my new favorite river. I like it even better than the Eleven Point even though it lacks trout. Heck, I like the Jack's Fork more than I like my wife. (Just kidding, Kerri.)

My Plan
So, my plan is to come down on Sunday morning (early!). I expect Jeff and Gentry and maybe Russell will have already been on the river for a day or so. I'm not sure about Josh. I think Drew and Matt should come too, but I don't know what their plans are.
